Jaer Medina is an artist, educator, and curator based out of Holland, Michigan. His work revolves around the negotiation of space in various forms. Drawing inspiration from Mexican-American productions of space, Jaer is interested in how art and art education can be used to build and strengthen communities. During the summer of 2023, Jaer ran a DIY art gallery out of his garage in Holland, Michigan. He curated group shows with local artists from Hope College, Grand Valley State University, and Michigan State University.
